Anclote Manors: AftermathI redid this page a bit, touched up some of the photos and tried to reduce loading time by linking straight to the images instead of other HTML files. Click on a thumbnail to see the image and use your Back Arrow to return to this main page. I hope you enjoy our tour through the remains of "Anclote Manors"
Epitaph:Well unfortunately due to some misleading information given to me by the current owners, upon our last visit to Anclote we were presented with some unexpected resistance. Although I had gained permission for a tour, somehow that bit of information seemed to have not been carried to the appropriate people standing guard of the facility. Fortunately we were able to wander around the site for a few hours before they realized our presence. However, at the conclusion such things were mentioned as, Trespassing, Breaking & Entering, and even Restraining Orders were involved, should we choose to return to the site. I am happy to announce however, that a peaceful solution came into place, and neither me or my partner were incarcerated, and was able to avoid the subsequent full body cavity search. The unfortunate downside is, we were unable to gain the demolition photos we had desired. However, I can assure you as of a month prior to this update, the Patient Pipeline depository, has been fully leveled, and the reconstruction for suitable condominiums has begun. The "Medieval House Of Horrors" has been laid to rest after a long running reign of terror on its victims/patients and surrounding residents. If it weren't for the efforts of my crew, the tragedy that was known as "The Manors" may just fade into historical myth, and soon be forgotten. If it weren't for my deep seated fear that this would happen again, I would let it go. Human experimentation is doubly evil, when it is passed off as "Mental Health". All in that ongoing war for Normalcy... For the many victims that live around the leveled ruins, perhaps they can find comfort and healing, knowing that at least no more pain will come from "The Manors" Sincerely, Azrahn
UPDATE!We were able to get out to the site of what was Anclote Manors this weekend. Hadn't been there since we were so thoughtfully extracted by security personnel on our prior visit we were hesitant to go. Curiosity got the better of us, and we went to see what had been going on at our favorite haunting grounds. We were surprised that it is mostly flatland at the moment, nothing much exciting to report at all. We took a handful of pictures, but mounds of sand no matter how you look at them are just mounds of sand. They have completed three houses at the time of this writing, the one I took the most pictures of is right out in front and is positioned directly on what was the ingoing and outgoing lanes that marked the entry drive to the hospital. The place is really neat, it will do some happy family quite well in the near future. Lets just hope they whoever they are will fare out better than the "Lutz" family of Amityville fame did. (But then again, there is something to be said about the success of the Amityville chain that resulted from their 28 days of supernatural hell. I also wonder if the 28 days were worse than the decades of ridicule by skeptics and hounding talk show hosts were that followed) Although not that impressive, I hope you enjoy the pics. That is an update for ya.
